Abstract

Since 2012 the Italian Government has been engaged in the creation of a far-reaching legislative package aimed at supporting the development of the national start-up ecosystem. Drawing from policy suggestions by key players of the Italian innovation ecosystem, the so-called Italian Startup Act encompasses a vast and diversified array of tools affecting all stages of the lifecycle of newly established high-tech businesses. Data regarding the impact of the policy are publicly accessible and are subject to continuous reporting, culminating in the issuance of the Annual Relation to the Italian Parliament by the Italian Minister of Economic Development.
